The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBCH, Brooklyn, N.Y.) is deploying multiple clinical components of Atlanta-based Eclipsys Corporation’s Sunrise Enterprise suite of solutions.

According to the company, TBCH will expand its use of Eclipsys’ clinical documentation solution as well as its CPOE, pharmacy, surgery and Web-based radiology management systems. The hospital is also implementing Eclipsys’ Sunrise Clinical Analytics business intelligence tool, which extracts and transforms data from Eclipsys’ Sunrise Clinical Manager EHR solution to automate quality reporting, it says.

The solutions, says Eclipsys, will serve as the clinical technology foundation for TBCH to transform care delivery processes and support qualifying for ARRA stimulus dollars.

Founded in 1845, The Brooklyn Hospital Center is a 367-bed teaching hospital offering primary and specialized medical care, diagnostic and therapeutic services, cutting-edge technology, and specialized surgery to nearly 300,000 patients annually. Located in the heart of Brooklyn’s downtown revitalization district, TBHC is a member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and a Brooklyn academic and clinical affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College.
