Lifetime Health Deploys Speech Recognition
Lifetime Health Medical Group, a non-profit primary care delivery system based in Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y. has integrated Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical 9 speech recognition technology with its electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical 9 is a product of Burlington, Mass.-based Nuance Communications Inc., a provider of speech recognition products.
With the product, Lifetime Health physicians describe the patient directly into the EMR through free-form dictation. The company says Lifetime Health has attained increased report accuracy and achieved substantial cost savings.
