Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian (Newport Beach, Calif.) has implemented the Amelior EDTracker from Charlotte, N.C.-based Patient Care Technology Systems (PCTS) to track patients in its emergency department.
The Web-based solution, which is part of the Amelior Enterprise Visibility Suite, features an ultrasonic real-time locating system from Sonitor Technologies, says the company. It is designed to facilitate patient flow by automatically identifying the location and status of patients and equipment.
According to PCTS, Amelior EDTracker interfaces with ADT, lab, and radiology systems to integrate additional patient and order status information and create a centralized workflow communication and management portal for the ED.
