Moore County Hospital District, (MCHD) located in Dumas, Texas, is implementing San Diego-based Concerro’s web-based workforce management solution.

According to the company, the Internet-based program is helping MCHD to decrease agency use and associated costs, fill open shifts earlier in the scheduling process, assist in the recruitment and retention of staff, and build a supplemental staffing pool.

MCHD is also utilizing an incentive program developed by Concerro called ShiftRewards to motivate nurses to fill open shifts, rewarding staff with points that are earned for requesting and/or being awarded a shift, the company adds. Points are accumulated and redeemed for rewards. ShiftRewards is also being introduced to recognize staff for their participation and completion of other hospital activities, it says.

Moore County Hospital District is comprised of a 60-bed acute care hospital and a 60-bed nursing and rehabilitation center, and serves the rural population in the Texas Panhandle.
