Practice Fusion Inc. (San Francisco), a provider of healthcare solutions to the medical practice community, has acquired Medical ChartWizard Systems (Hayward, Calif.), an electronic medical record (EMR) vendor, for an undisclosed sum.

According to Practice Fusion, Medical ChartWizard incorporates and integrates chart notes from patient encounters and lab results, automates the dispensing of prescriptions, and collects information to create standard charts.

Medical ChartWizard senior executive, Robert Rowley, M.D., will join the Practice Fusion team as chief medical officer.
