Charlottesville, Va.-based University of Virginia Health System has chosen Addison, Texas-based MEDHOST to automate its ED.

MEDHOST will be integrated with the hospital’s HIS from GE Healthcare. The ED at the University of Virginia Medical Center is the first point of contact for many patients to the health system and receives approximately 61,000 visits annually, says the company.
