Elmhurst and Queens Hospital Centers, members of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation are implementing a regional health information exchange.

The hospitals will utilize San Jose, Calif.-based Axolotl’s Elysium technology to connect community healthcare participants and provide an electronic system for real-time delivery and sharing of clinical information among healthcare professionals.

Providers will have the ability to access laboratory reports, radiology reports/eImaging, medication history, allergies and other important patient information across the region via a secure web application, and connect to ambulatory care EMR systems, says the company.
