Medical Insight A/S (Copenhagen, Denmark) has released a new version of its EasyViz product that it says adds mobility to any new or existing PACS or EMR system.

The EasyViz system uses adaptive streaming technology and server-side computing to extend the reach of a PACS or EMR system by providing quick access to images and tools on a PC, laptop or mobile device from anywhere inside or outside the healthcare facility, says the company.

The image distribution system enables clinical users to access the same functions as a full-featured image viewer, including work-lists, extensive annotations tools, hanging protocols, native 3D reconstructions, presentation states and GSPS objects, image shutters, access to reports, scouts and localizers, and other capabilities.
