Marietta Memorial Hospital, a 199-bed community hospital in Marietta, Ohio, is deploying an emergency department information system (EDIS) from Somerset, N.J.-based Wellsoft Corporation.

Among the core functions included in the EDIS are patient tracking, clinical documentation, order entry, results reporting, and facility charge capture. The system will interface with Marietta Memorial’s Meditech Magic platform, says the company.

Marietta Memorial Hospital serves 31,000 patients each year in its ED. The hospital is part of Memorial Health System, which includes a cancer center, rehabilitation center, extended care facility, retirement community, and a critical access hospital and physician corporation. Marietta Memorial provides care to residents of Marietta, Washington County and surrounding counties.
