CCHIT Certifies Cerner Solution

The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT, Chicago) has granted certification to Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner’s 2007 Cerner Millennium PowerChart/PowerWorks solution.

The solution also meets the requirements for the Commission’s ambulatory EHR criteria for 2007.

CCHIT is the recognized certification body in the United States for certifying health IT products. In the second year of the program’s operation, the Commission added 96 criteria to the 151 original requirements from last year.
