DocuSys Picking Up Prompte

Mobile, Ala.-based DocuSys Inc., an anesthesia information management system and medication management system provider, is acquiring Prompte LLC, a Chicago-based software provider of early-stage surgery software.

Prompte’s products — HealthQuestionnaire and PreOpPlanner — facilitate the collection of a patient’s health history, identify the patient’s surgical risk and produce instructions and testing requirements for the patient prior to surgery, according to the company. Through its prior partnership with Prompte, DocuSys uses the patient information collected by the Prompte solutions to pre-populate the DocuSys PreAnesthesia Evaluation module.

The transaction is expected to close within 30 days.
