Wayne, Mich.-based Oakwood Healthcare Systems (OHS), serving more than 1.2 million people in 29 communities, has selected Unibased Systems Architecture (USA) in an effort to centralize scheduling for all radiology departments across the organization.

According to USA (Chesterfield, Mo.), its scheduling application, Resource Management System (RMS), is utilized across four inpatient hospitals and eight outpatient sites to allow the pre-registration process to be consolidated into a one-step process, thereby decreasing the number of phone calls received by the patient, and allowing OHS to capture the resultant labor savings.

Oakwood is a four-hospital, 1,307-bed system serving more than 1.2 million people in 29 communities.
