Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center (Ottawa, Ill.) has implemented San Diego-based IntelliDOT Corporation’s Bedside Medication
Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center (Ottawa, Ill.) has implemented San Diego-based IntelliDOT Corporation’s Bedside Medication Administration, Vital Signs Collection, and Phlebotomy Specimen Collection solutions.

According to the company, a bidirectional interface is being built between the IntelliDOT System and the Meditech Magic HIS that will enable orders entered into the pharmacy system to transmit to the eMAR and the clinician’s handheld. Through this interface, data will automatically populate the IntelliDOT eMAR and flow to the Meditech patient care module after clinicians scan the patient’s wristband and medication, says the company.

The facility also plans to implement IntelliDOT’s Blood Product Administration in the near future.

Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center is a 118-bed facility providing services for residents of LaSalle County and surrounding communities. The hospital also operates a Women’s Health Center, a Family Birth Center, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services programs and a community health program that includes home health services and hospice.
