Florida Medical Association Taps McKesson as Preferred Vendor

The Florida Medical Association (FMA, Tallahassee) has granted preferred vendor status to the EMR from Atlanta-based McKesson’s Practice Partner Patient Records.

According to the company, the preferred vendor list offers selection guidance to more than 16,000 physicians statewide looking to adopt electronic records. In order to be considered, EMR vendors are required to have current certification from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology, an e-prescribing solution, and a strong client base in Florida.

The FMA is a professional association that represents physicians on issues of legislation and regulatory affairs, medical economics, public health, education and ethical and legal issues.
