The Sisters of Mercy Health System (Chesterfield, Mo.) selected Armonk, N.Y.-based IBM to standardize its service support processes in preparation of a coming EHR system.
Mercy previously used IBM’s Service Management software and services to integrate its systems and streamline its operational processes, which in turn, according to the company, helped to increase staff productivity and cut costs.
IBM says its technology will be utilized throughout Mercy’s network of hospitals, physician practices, outpatient clinics, health plans and related health and human services, which spans a seven-state area.
Sisters of Mercy Health System supports 19 acute care hospitals providing more than 4,000 licensed beds, two heart hospitals, a managed care subsidiary, physician practices, outpatient care facilities, home health programs, skilled nursing services and long-term care facilities.
