Portable Information Management Systems Inc. (PIMS) (Ventura, Calif.), makers of the MedicKey Digital Information Chip has agreed to provide Rochester, N.Y.-based eHealth Global Technologies Inc.'s eRetriever service to customers who purchase a MedicKey.
According to both companies, eHealth Global, a provider of patient medical records management services, will promote MedicKey with its clinical institution customers.
The eRetriever service allows eHealth Global to assist MedicKey customers with the medical records retrieval, after which eHealth Global will populate personal data on the MedicKey device, including scanned-in documents and medical images, says both companies.
