Stafford Hospital Center of Stafford, Va., has implemented Amelior ED, an emergency department information system from Mission Viejo, Calif.-based Patient Care Technology Systems.

The Amelior ED system provides triage-to-disposition workflow visibility and automation support through its integration of computer-based modules for patient and asset tracking, nurse and physician charting and CPOE, the company says. The system organizes all information for a patient’s ED visit, including laboratory and radiology orders and results, within a single EMR.

The company says Stafford Hospital Center implemented the Amelior ED emergency department documentation system as part of the launch of this new hospital, part of the MediCorp Health System. The Amelior ED system, the company claims, has been in use at MediCorp's flagship facility, Mary Washington Hospital, since 2002.

MediCorp Health System is a fully integrated, regional medical system that provides inpatient and outpatient care through a variety of medical facilities.
