The Oak Brook, Ill.-based American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) announced a strategic partnership with Skaneateles Falls N.Y.-based Welch Allyn, a global manufacturer of frontline medical products and solutions, that will offer the more than 11,000 members of this international organization a unique service designed to ease the process of selecting and preparing for an electronic health record (EHR) system. ASGE promotes high standards for endoscopic training and practice, fosters endoscopic research and is a resource for endoscopic education.

ASGE members will be introduced to the new EHR Prep-Select service, a consulting program offered by Welch Allyn. The service systematically guides physician practices through the complex EHR preparation and selection process by offering an mix of consulting, a 10-step project plan, and an online tool that addresses the challenges associated with selecting an EHR vendor.

Welch Allyn will be collaborating with ASGE on several marketing initiatives to introduce and educate members on the value of the EHR Prep-Select service. ASGE members will be able to quickly find the program through their own Web site, which brings members to a partnered landing page provided by Welch Allyn. In addition, members referred to Welch Allyn by ASGE will be eligible for special pricing on all of the Welch Allyn EHR Prep-Select program services.
