Meridian Health Expands Patient Ed Offerings

Wall, N.J.-based Meridian Health is using Raleigh, N.C.-based TeleHealth Services as its new patient education and entertainment system provider.

Wall, N.J.-based Meridian Health is using Raleigh, N.C.-based TeleHealth Services as its new patient education and entertainment system provider.

TeleHealth Services will provide Meridian with a service package that will include an interactive patient education and entertainment system and access to movies and television through a partnership between DIRECTV and TeleHealth Services’ customized DSS programming. From their beds, says the company, Meridian patients will be able to view educational videos and have access to live television, movies and games. Patients will also have an Internet connection.

Meridian Health is a family of not-for-profit health care organizations comprising Jersey Shore University Medical Center and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, Ocean Medical Center in Brick, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, and Meridian Partner Companies, which include home care agencies, long-term and assisted living communities, ambulatory care, ambulance services, and occupational health located throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties.
