Branson, Mo.-based Skaggs Community Health System has signed with St. Paul, Minn.-based Lawson Software for a preconfigured software package to enhance its financial processes.

According to the company, in an effort to simplify ERP deployment and reduce operational costs, Skaggs will use Lawson’s QuickStep Healthcare, which includes the company’s S3 human capital management, enterprise financial management, supply chain management and business intelligence suites.

Lawson says its system will automate financial, materials and workforce management processes organization-wide. For example, the company’s S3 suite will help the hospital minimize costs and improve employee productivity by supporting more efficient tracking of supplies and packages using bar coding and wireless technologies, Lawson claims.
