Berlin Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital that is part of the Berlin, Wis.-based Community Health Network, is installing the CALM Clinical Information Systems from LMS Medical Systems (Montreal, Canada) to improve the care of patients in labor and delivery.
The CALM System is a base fetal monitor surveillance and archival system that will allow nurses to view patients from different locations, and will enable clinicians to electronically document patient data and capture vital signs for automatic population into the patient’s chart, says the company. The solution also features embedded clinical decision support tools that identify and label fetal monitor patterns based upon accepted standards and match a mother’s progress with a reference population having similar parameters, it touts.
Community Health Network is a two-hospital system that also includes a nursing home, five rehabilitation locations, a homecare division, retail pharmacy, and 10 medical centers throughout a five-county service area.
