Regency Hospital Company, a network of 23 hospitals based in Alpharetta, Ga., is deploying eWebHealth’s (Reading, Mass.) eWebView application to improve access to patient data, reduce paper, and support health information management processes throughout the organization.

Using eWebHealth’s legal EHR technology, Regency is able to support multiple workflows across the organization, including diagnosis-related group review to improve case mix and reduce audit exposure; release of information processes; remote coding; and chart audits, says the company. With the eWebView application, paper records are scanned, assessed for image quality, combined with electronic data feeds from other hospital information systems and stored online to provide a complete repository of the patient’s medical record, it touts.

Regency Hospital Company works to provide intensive critical care to acutely ill, medically complex patients through its hospitals in Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Ohio, Indiana, and Minnesota.
