Irvine, Calif.-based WebReach is partnering with Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Medsphere Systems Corporation to support Medsphere’s OpenVista EHR.

Through WebReach’s healthcare messaging integration engine (Mirth), Medsphere offers standard interfaces for existing and proprietary applications, enabling disparate patient data systems to exchange information, says the company.

According to the company, OpenVista incorporates Mirth and interfacing standards such as HL7 for the exchange and retrieval of electronic health information. The agreement between Medsphere and WebReach will provide coordinated support, technical training and interface engineering capabilities, including message translation and mapping between health information systems and across protocols, data sources and distributed systems.
