Shawnee Mission Medical Center (SMMC, Kansas) will install the Safe Place Infant Security Solution, Software Version 5.0, from Brookfield, Wis.-based RF Technologies in its Special Addition Birth Center.

The Safe Place Infant Security Solution protects infants within an assigned area using technology that centralizes information on a touch screen PC monitor, allowing for admit with an auto-enroll feature, and identifying and registering nurses into the system with card swipe and proximity readers, according to the company.
