According to Omnicell (Mountain View, Calif.), Grant Regional has installed OmniRx medication distribution systems and an OmniDispenser single-dose dispensing module on nursing floors. In addition, Omnicell stated that its anesthesia workstations are designed to provide the center's operating room with a system for the management of anesthesia supplies and medications.

The computerized Omnicell medication distribution systems located throughout the hospital are password-protected and locked, have lights to guide nurses to the right medication and contain a profile of drugs approved by the hospital for each patient, says the company.
