Halfpenny Technologies, Inc., an HIE solutions provider based in Bluebell, Pa., has introduced ITF-Mobile, a handheld results reporting system that enables physicians to securely access laboratory, pathology and radiology result reports from their iPhone, BlackBerry or Android-powered smartphones.

According to the company, ITF-Mobile provides physicians with visual and audio alerts of incoming clinical messages and abnormal results. Based on user-defined rules, ITF-Mobile can be set up to deliver all lab results, test results with abnormal values, or only those results specifically ordered by a physician or requested by a patient. The ability to filter results based upon physician preference and limit alerts to results that meet each physician’s criteria is designed to eradicate nuisance alerts, it says.
