El Camino Extends Workflow Technology to New Campus

El Camino Hospital, an acute-care hospital in the San Jose, Calif. area, extended the suite of medical record workflow technology from eWebHealth (Reading, Mass.) to its new campus in Los Gatos, Calif.

According to the company, the go-live of eWebHealth’s technology suite was completed in 90 days and integrated into the hospital’s clinical information system, Atlanta-based Eclipsys’ Sunrise Clinical Manager.

After undergoing a facility expansion following its purchase of the former Community Hospital of Los Gatos site in March, El Camino Hospital was able to re-open Los Gatos’ doors in July, 2009.

El Camino Hospital is a 542 bed acute care, not-for-profit with campuses in Mountain View and Los Gatos, Calif. Key medical specialty focuses include cancer care, heart and vascular, neuroscience, genomic medicine, orthopedic and spine and a women’s hospital.
