Parkland Health & Hospital System of Dallas has chosen Affiliated Computer Services Inc. (ACS), also of Dallas, for outsourcing its IT services.
Under the terms of the agreement, ACS will supply comprehensive infrastructure services, including data center operations, network monitoring and management, asset tracking, and help desk support services for $41 million for seven years, the company says.
According to ACS, it will also implement a comprehensive disaster recovery platform that will utilize a network connection to securely store Parkland clinical data online. ACS says its system will replicate backup data directly to the disaster site, reducing Parkland’s business recovery time by reliably restoring backup data, while providing the thorough data security required by best business practices and regulatory guidelines.
