CCHIT Certifies Three Inpatient EHRs

Cerner, Meditech and Siemens have joined the ranks of CCHIT-certified inpatient EHR vendors. Specifically, the newly certified products are:

Cerner, Meditech and Siemens have joined the ranks of CCHIT-certified inpatient EHR vendors.

Specifically, the newly certified products are:

  • Cerner Millennium PowerChart 2007, by Cerner Corporation
  • Advanced Clinical Systems, MAGIC 5.6, by Meditech, Inc.
  • INVISION Clinicals Version 27.0 with Siemens Pharmacy and Med Administration Check (MAK), Version 24.0, by Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. (pre-market conditional)

The new additions bring the total number of certified inpatient products to nine, or an estimated 36 percent of inpatient EHR vendors. The commission has been focusing on CPOE and eMAR capabilities in its certification.

The next application period for inpatient products will open Feb. 1. The 2007 application period for ambulatory and inpatient EHR products will remain open until March 31.
