Water Street Healthcare Partners, a Chicago private-equity firm focused on the healthcare industry, has acquired a stake in San Fernando, Calif.-based Precision Dynamics Corporation, a producer of patient identification wristband systems used by hospitals and healthcare providers.

Water Street Healthcare Partners says that it has committed $75 million in equity financing to accelerate Precision Dynamics' growth and expand its market position by pursuing future acquisitions.
