New York University (NYU) Medical Center recently activated Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager and its integrated modules, Sunrise Pharmacy and Sunrise Emergency Care, at all three of its hospitals.

Atlanta, Ga.-based Eclipsys, stated that 100 percent of NYU Medical Center's resident and attending physicians are now placing orders through its Knowledge-Based CPOE system.

According to Eclipsys, the Medical Center also uses its Sunrise Emergency Care, so that patient information collected in the emergency department is automatically shared with other venues of care.

Sunrise Pharmacy, Eclipsys' pharmacy information system, enables NYU Medical Center's pharmacists to electronically review and verify orders, and then safely dispense medications, says Eclipsys.
