Parkway Hospital, a 251-bed not-for-profit community hospital in Queens, N.Y., has awarded a $1.4 million contract to Keane Inc. to purchase and install the company's EZ Access Patcom Patient Management product.

According to Keane (San Ramon, Calif.), Patcom is designed to improve Parkway Hospital's revenue cycle process across multiple departments, helping realize operational and financial efficiencies. The system's workflow engine manages each account's lifecycle from start to finish, accelerating the collection process, says the company.

Keane contends the three-year project includes upgrading Parkway Hospital's accounts payable, general ledger, pharmacy and laboratory products, making it easier for staff to access both clinical and financial information.
