United Kingdom-based Bridgehead Software has unveiled the newest version of PACStore, a long-term archiving solution that consolidates data from disparate PACS systems.
According to the company, PACStore can improve clinician access to imaging data, enhance business continuity and reduce the IT storage and management burden of retaining imaging data over the long term. By incorporating a DICOM storage class server and HL7 interface, PACStore software fully integrates into existing healthcare IT infrastructures, where it creates a central repository for imaging data with a single point of access, Bridgehead touts. With this system, the most current, active image data stays on primary storage, while older data is moved to alternative media in line with compliance and protection requirements, it says.
