Looking to go electronic, the Health and Social Services Department in Guernsey (located off the coast of France) has agreed to a 10-year contract with TrakHealth for its EMR system, TrakCare.

TrakCare incorporates the InterSystems Ensemble integration platform, enabling TrakCare modules to connect to Guernsey's existing specialist radiology, lab and PACS systems.

The community-wide electronic patient record system is part of an effort to support comprehensive health and social care to the Channel Island residents, 30 miles west of the Normandy coast in France and 75 miles south of Weymouth in England.

TrakHealth is an Australian-based InterSystems company that develops and markets TrakCare, the Web-based HIS for electronic patient record delivery.
