Mirixa Corporation (Alexandria, Va.), a developer of clinical solutions that facilitate pharmacist-based patient care services, has launched MirixaPro, its second-generation clinical information system for pharmacies.

MirixaPro offers clinical decision support to pharmacists who counsel patients by displaying rule-based clinical alerts, contends the company. It also identifies opportunities to counsel patients on optimal use of their health plans' drug benefit, while streamlining documentation of care and easing reimbursement for pharmacy care through an online submission of service claims to participating payers, says MirixaPro.

According to Mirixa, additional functionalities enable pharmacies nationwide to deliver services via a single software interface.
