Royal Philips Electronics (Vienna, Austria) has introduced a new addition to its HD ultrasound line of products.

The Philips HD7 ultrasound system is designed to address basic scanning needs while adding new technology and design advances such as gray scale and color Doppler imaging that can help to improve image quality, says the company.

The Philips HD7 ultrasound system draws upon capabilities available on high-end Philips systems, the company states, and puts them into a more affordable, mobile unit that is useable in a variety of clinical settings.

The product is not currently for sale in the United States.
