Siemens CNIO Nabs Nursing Informatics Award

Rosemary Kennedy, R.N., chief nursing informatics officer for Malvern, Pa.-based Siemens Healthcare, will receive the 2008 Nursing Informatics Leadership Award from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS, Chicago).

The award recognizes Kennedy’s continued leadership in the nursing informatics field, along with her significant contributions to the nursing profession, HIMSS, and the healthcare IT profession as a whole, according to the organization. In November of 2008, she was inducted as a Fellow to the American Academy of Nursing.

HIMSS will honor Kennedy, along with 50 other industry leaders and organizations, on April 4 during the 2009 HIMSS Annual Conference in Chicago.
