McKesson, a San Francisco-based healthcare services and information technology company, has acquired an intellectual property license from DocuSys

McKesson, a San Francisco-based healthcare services and information technology company, has acquired an intellectual property license from DocuSys (Mobile, Ala.) for its anesthesia information system, Horizon Anesthesia Management.

According to McKesson, the new license agreement will enable it to support, maintain and develop the anesthesia application, which it has sold for the past four years under private label.

DocuSys says its solution offers an automated anesthesia documentation record that provides information to help clinicians identify and avoid potential medication errors. McKesson contends Horizon Surgical Manager integrates scheduling, supply management, clinical documentation, and performance management into one system.
