In an effort to improve critical care delivery, The Christ Hospital of Cincinnati has implemented Baltimore-based
Visicu’s eICU. According to the company, the Ohio hospital will become the first in the Greater Cincinnati Tristate to implement the product.
The Philips-owned company, Visicu, touts that it combines early warning software and remote monitoring to connect off-site critical care physicians and nurses to ICU patients.
The Christ Hospital is a 555-bed, not-for-profit acute care facility, which provides services in cardiovascular care, spine treatment and women's health. A total of 44 Christ Hospital ICU beds will be monitored around the clock by a critical care team from the hospital’s Critical Connections Center, located in The Christ Hospital Medical Office Building.
