Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) — a 747-bed nonprofit teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and member of Partners HealthCare — is now tracking patient care devices, most to room-level precision, across the 17 floors of its inpatient tower.
BWH, an early adopter of the Andover, Mass.-based Radianse location platform, piloted its active RFID-enabled technology in 2004/2005. Radianse Reveal Asset Tracking is now used in the ED, med-surg units, common areas, and cardiac care and perioperative units. In the spring of 2008, when BWH’s Cardiovascular Center opens, it will feature the Radianse real-time location platform.
