CareFX, CA, IBM Corp. and Initiate Systems Inc. are joining forces to deliver an eHealth initiative to North Louisiana.
The Louisiana Rural Health Information Exchange, in conjunction with the Louisiana Rural Hospital Coalition, Inc. (LRHC) and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport (LSUHSC-S), announced the selection of an integrated platform provided by the four teams to achieve a federated, patient-centric regional eHealth initiative.
CareFX, CA, IBM and Initiate Systems will deploy and maintain a secure and reliable infrastructure for the "timely and accurate" electronic sharing of clinical information between community providers in North Louisiana and the LSUHSC-S.
The Louisiana Rural Hospital Coalition provides its 41 member hospitals with regulatory, legal, financial and legislative advocacy for both member hospitals and provider-based rural health clinics. The integrated platform is designed to provide clinicians with secure, anywhere, anytime access to a portal-based view of patient-centric data housed in disparate applications across multiple hospitals.
