The University of North Carolina Health Care System, Chapel Hill (UNC) has selected Barrington, Ill.-based GE Healthcare's Centricity Business revenue cycle management solution.

Beginning with the registration process, GE's Centricity Business Solution provides users with the ability to build-in payer rules to help ensure patient information is collected correctly and completely before care is provided, the company stated. Users can then use these rules to automatically check charges for accuracy prior to submission for cleaner claims and fewer rejections.

"The implementation of GE's Centricity Business solution exemplifies our commitment to providing state-of-the-art patient care," said Keith Gran, Chief Operating Officer of Physician and Associates and Chief Revenue Cycle Officer for Physician and Associates and UNC's Health Care System.
