Bloomington Hospital of Bloomington, Ind., has selected a patient ID and enterprise electronic forms solution from Rocky Mount, Va.-based PatientWorks, a division of NewBold Corp.

According to PatientWorks, the solution will improve patient identification and the registration and clinical-documentation processes. According to the company, PatientWorks can integrate with any HIS, EMR or imaging system to improve registration, ancillary and billing workflows.

The initial project includes the production of bar coded armbands, labels and face sheets with integration to the EMR. Later phases include total electronic form deployment, automating the registration and clinical documentation process, and capturing the patient photo.

Bloomington Hospital is a 261-bed facility with dozens of outpatient locations, two hospitals, three long-term care facilities and five physician practices.
