Altamonte-based Florida Hospital has selected Bethesda, Md. -based GetWellNetwork Inc.’s PatientLife System.

The product, GetWell Network says, is designed for interactive patient care technology at the bedside. The PatientLife System turns the television in the patient room into an interactive resource, the company touts. By using a wireless keyboard, touch screen or other handheld devices, patients interact with the system to access education, communication and entertainment tools.

The system is scheduled to launch on December 4, 2007 with the opening of a new 72-bed patient tower. In 2008, the 341-bed facility will serve nearly 200,000 patients in Seminole County, Fla.
