Medical Information Technology Inc. of Westwood, Mass. has canceled its participation in this year’s HIMSS conference. Though the company successfully participated in past HIMSS conferences, which offered the company opportunity to attract new customers and to showcase new product offerings, it has officially pulled out of this year’s event due to the current economic climate, it says. Instead, the company says it plans to utilize regional events, annual workshops and its Web site to share information.
