National Coordinator for Health IT Dr. David Blumenthal will join experts and patient advocates to discuss how technology will bring about personalized health care.

The 2010 Annual Conference of the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, and the Friends of the National Library of Medicine (FNLM) will bring together public and private sector leaders for “The ePatient: Digital and Genomic Technologies for Personalized Health Care.”

Sessions will include: Comparative Effectiveness, Innovation and Personalized Medicine; Health IT: Decision Support/Technologies; Personalized Medicine and Digital Health Networks in Health Research and Clinical Care as well as Cancer Research and Brain Disorders Research; and Telehealth/Mobile Health.

Speakers include Dr. Donald A.B. Lindberg, Director, National Library of Medicine; Dr. David Blumenthal, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology; Dr. Val Jones, CEO/Founder, Better Health; Dave deBronkart, “e-Patient Dave”
