Seattle-headquartered Providence Health & Services – Oregon Region (PH&S) has implemented Hillsboro, Ore.-based Kryptiq’s Connect IQ software development kit (SDK) to incorporate secure messaging into an overarching consumer portal for its network of hospitals and medical clinics.

Kryptiq’s Connect IQ SDK enables PH&S to combine its internal development strengths with the benefits of Kryptiq’s secure messaging and online patient services, the company touts. As a result, Kryptiq says, PH&S will extend its MyProvidence consumer portal as well as complete control of the user experience at less of a cost.

Providence Health & Services – Oregon Region has seven hospitals, as well as medical clinics, health plans, long-term care facilities and home health services. With more than 15,000 employees, Providence is the state’s second-largest private employer.
