Massachusetts e-Health Institute (MeHI), the state’s Regional Extension Center, announced that it has selected Westborough, Mass.-based ambulatory clinical system provider eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) system as a preferred vendor for its primary care providers state-wid. eClinicalWorks has also been selected by MeHI as a certified Implementation Optimization Organization (IOO). As an IOO, eClinicalWorks will provide comprehensive implementation services to help Massachusetts providers get to meaningful use.

MeHI also chose Watertown, Mass.- based athenahealth Inc, a provider of Web-based practice management, electronic health record (EHR), and patient communication services to medical groups, as a preferred EHR solution partner.
