Rochester, N.Y.-based eHealth Global Technologies has launched the eHealthLoader service designed to help healthcare facilities with transferring patient images and medical records into an electronic information management system.

According to the company, the eHealthLoader assists institutions transforming legacy data into digital systems, such as PACS, EMRs or other clinical information systems.

Through the use of industry standards, including DICOM and HL7, the product provides a solution for facilities seeking to capture historical paper or film-based medical records electronically, the company says. The service also interfaces with a healthcare facility’s existing IT systems and uploads the data for use by clinicians.
