The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) continues their trend of bringing aboard high-profile politicians to keynote their yearly conference, as the advocacy group announced that George W. Bush will highlight the 2015 show.

Bush is the latest big name to keynote the show. In 2013, former President Bill Clinton spoke at the show in New Orleans. This year's event featured his wife and former Secretary of State and potential Presidential candidate, Hilary Clinton.

Former President Bush has significant ties to the health IT industry. In 2004, created the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and famously challenged the nation to computerize health records within the next 10 years.

HIMSS15 will take place in Chicago, from April 12-16, 2015.
